Mailing List

Hello again,

It has been a long time since I last wrote, and this is my last post on here for a while. Due to a number of complications, largest of all being my decision to cancel my internet subscription so I can study more, I have decided to temporarily switch to a mass email format rather than keeping this blog. It will be easier to do using the library's snail-speed internet connection. I had to wait 30 minutes just to get this page to load so I could post this blog.

In any case, if you would like me to add you to the mailing list, just post a comment below saying that you want to be added and telling me who you are, if that won't be obvious to me. You don't need to post your email in the comment, I should be able to see it from the administration panel. It may take me a while to get you on the list, just because accessing this page is very hit and miss right now, but I will do my best.

Take care, and we'll keep in touch.

Hiatus

What was intended to be a week long break from blogging has drawn out longer than expected. It is due to a combination of busy-ness (finals week), lazy-ness, and tendinitis. The upshot of it is that I will probably not be blogging much this next month or so either. Here's why:

Starting on Wednesday I have break for two months. I will be traveling with a friend of mine...

1. By train down to South China (Guangzhou) for a couple of days
2. Flying from there to Manila, Philippines for a week of exploring
3. Flying from there to Jakarta, Indonesia for a week exploring ancient temples. Check them out here and here.
4. From there to Singapore for a few days of exploring
5. On to Malaysia for a week or so of beach-bumming and snorkeling.

From that point on we don't have a set itinerary, but plan to travel by land back to China, through Thailand, Cambodia (with a visit to Angkor Wat), Vietnam, and maybe stop by Laos and Myanmar along the way.

It will be quite epic. I am only taking a small backpack, so no computer, only my Ipod touch. That means I may be able to Skype with some of you, and I can read your emails, but I will not be doing too much typing. The Ipod's onscreen keyboard is too small.

See you in a month or so.
